With more than thirty years’ experience representing clients in a wide variety of transactional, corporate and personal matters, Mr. Pearlman has learned to focus on the critical role of an attorney in meeting a client’s goals - to listen to his clients, determine their needs and priorities, and to act accordingly. 

Mr. Pearlman represents clients in all aspects of commercial development including initial development, purchase, sale, financing and lease negotiations. He has experience with commercial developments of various types and sizes and tenants ranging from the largest anchors to small inline tenants and outlot occupants. Mr. Pearlman is actively engaged in representing borrowers in CMBS (Conduit) loan transactions and represents lending institutions in their development and commercial loan transactions.  He also represents clients in residential property development and assists businesses and individuals with their business and personal legal needs.

 Mr. Pearlman has a unique perspective gained from his experience as General Counsel to a Chicago based real estate development company.  Having served in that capacity since 2000, he has learned to assess risk, provide options and determine a course of action with a recognition of the impact on the bottom line.  Prior to establishing the Law Offices of Alan D. Pearlman, LLC, Mr. Pearlman was an equity partner in a Chicago law firm where he was a founding attorney.

 Mr. Pearlman is a member of the American Bar Association and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Mr. Pearlman is a past President of Congregation Or Shalom of Lake County.

Mr. Pearlman received a bachelor of science in Finance and a juris doctor from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
